A new and exciting ensemble has seen the light!

Odeon sextet interprets tango, french musette and more, with flexible musicality, virtuosity, temperament and great skills. Perfectly together, the ensembles playing goes up to a higher level with the very talented accordion player Julija Skipore and first violinist Ivaylo Dechkoff, who, with his elegant sound and his musical and technical skills leads his ensemble with self-confidence through the demanding and refreshingly different repertoire.

It was the evening’s climax.
Galliano’s concerto was played with technical perfection and passionate devotion at the same time.
While listening to the ensemble’s playing, one could suddenly feel a warm summer evening and was sitting at a street café - far away from the everyday.

After the break followed fiery French musette music by the French accordion player R.Galliano. Piazolla was his pedagogue, but both Argentinian tango and gentle musette waltzes were pouring out of this wonderful three-movement piece, Opale Concerto, masterfully and precisely played by the 5 strings together with Julija Skipore as the convincing soloist.

It was a great pleasure to witness the talented musicians unfolding both individually and especially in the virtuosic ensemble playing. Their obvious and contagious joy was clearly received by the audience, whos reaction was surely not to be misunderstood. The group’s outstanding accordeon player, Julija Skipore, was of course the center of attention, strongly supported by the primo violino Ivaylo Dechkoff.
The Odeon Sextet is definitely worth getting to know and also hearing again, both at formal concerts and less formal events, f.ex. receptions.
